Lynn Liu
Founder, President & CEO of Aicent Inc.
Lynn founded Aicent in October 2000 with the vision of bridging the IP world and the wireless world through innovative mobile data services. Aicent serves more than 2.5 billion mobile users in 114 countries through more than 150 mobile operators. On any given day, Aicent’s network facilitates over 100 million roaming transactions generated on 150 mobile networks in 114 countries. Prior to founding Aicent, Lynn was a co-founder and COO for GRIC Communications (IPO in Nastaq in 1999). In 1994, She co-founded and held COO position at Aimnet, a leading Internet service provider in California. Aimnet was acquired by Verio in 1996, now a subsidiary of NTT Communications. Throughout her distinguished career, Lynn has established a long stream of successes in IP data service development, rollout, market penetration, and corporate leadership. Lynn has a B.S. from National Taiwan University, an M.S. in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and attended Executive Programs in the Graduate School of Business of Stanford University.
David Zhang
Co-founder, CTO & VP of Engineering
David co-founded Aicent and brought with him 15 years of global network, service deployment and operations in the field of Internet communications. Prior to Aicent, David was Leading Convergent Network Consultant at Lucent Technologies, where he consulted with ILECs, CLECs, and prominent enterprises such as Cisco. Before that, David was Chief Network Architect and Director of Network Engineering at GRIC Communications, VP of Network Operations at Verio Northern California, and VP of Engineering at Aimnet, where he led IP networks deployment, and network operations. David received his MS/CSEE from Xi'an Jiaotong University in China and MSEE from University of Washington at Seattle.
Kallen Chan
CFO & VP of Finance
Kallen has over 25 years of high technology financial management experience in telecommunication, semiconductor, software, e-commerce and systems companies. Prior to joining Aicent, Kallen was CFO of Atrua Technologies, a wireless user interface technology company. Earlier, Kallen led the financial operations of Healtheon, from its start-up phase through its IPO and then its merger with WebMD. Kallen held CFO or senior financial management positions at various technology companies, including Atrenta, Harmonic Lightwaves, Cirrus Logic, Cinta Networks and Caeco. Kallen started his professional career with Philips (Signetics) Semiconductor. Kallen holds an MBA and a BS in Accounting from Santa Clara University.
Mun-Kein Chang
Vice President, Product Marketing
Mun-Kein has more than 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Before joining Aicent, he was the Regional President of Asia-Pacific of GRIC Communications based in Singapore, responsible for sales, marketing, technical support, and operations for all GRIC customers and partners in the region. Before GRIC, he worked at Tandem Computers, providing consultation and professional services to major banking and telecommunication companies. He has also held management positions at Zenith Data Systems and Hewlett-Packard Asia-Pacific divisions. Mun-Kein holds a B.S. Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Surrey, England, as well as an Electrical Engineering Diploma from Singapore Polytechnic.
Shu Gan
Vice President, Strategic Business Development
Shu rejoined Aicent as VP of Strategic Business Development in 2011. Prior to Aicent, Shu was President at FutureDial, providing device and content management software-as-a-service to global carriers and handset OEMs, and VP & GM at ArcSoft, a market leader in mobile device multimedia software. Shu served as VP of Marketing at Aicent during its early years, leading the product management and corporate marketing functions. Earlier in his career, Shu was a management consultant at PRTM (now PwC) where he led strategic planning, sales operations, product, and engineering management at industry leaders including Qualcomm, Pacific Bell (now AT&T), and AirTouch (now Verizon Wireless). Shu holds a BS/MS from Peking University, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Hass School of Business, University of California at Berkeley.
Vivian Ding
Vice President, Operations
As VP of Service Operations, Vivian manages the technical support, network, settlement and corporate IT operations. Vivian joined Aicent in 2001 as one of the earliest members at Aicent, bringing in more than 15 years of experience in telecommunication industry. Prior to Aicent, Vivian worked as the senior system architect for AsiaInfo, where she led network design of carrier-grade public Internet backbone, billing and settlement solutions for ISP and CSP telecommunication services. Vivian holds a BS in Information Engineering from Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications and an MBA degree from the Guanghua School of Management at the Peking University.
