Opportunity: Technical Support Engineer supporting Americas
The ideal candidate for this position must be able to manage and work independently and responsibly on multiple tasks simultaneously. The individual must be highly technical in networking and able to perform actual work required to plan, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain TCP/IP networks, MMS application, and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues. The individual will be responsible to roll out networks which involve planning, procurement, provisioning, and implementation. Full fluency in both Spanish and English in writing/reading/speaking is required. Ability to write/read/speak Portuguese will be a plus!
Summary:
As Aicent’s Technical Support Engineer for Americas, you’ll interface with customers and support them on all levels. Leverage your background in TCP/IP routing, MMS applications, WiFi hotspot connections on mobile wireless handset, GSM networking, and other related technologies to deliver top quality support to our customers in these regions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer support for Aicent network & application services
- Interface with customers, troubleshooting to resolve issues via telephone and email
- Assist customers in leased line circuit procurement, set-up circuit cross-connect, configuring routers and switches, and provisioning network and application services

Required Experience:

Opportunity: WiFi / 3G Sales Engineer
Position is to provide pre-sales Network Engineering support for 3G/4G mobile operators with heavy focus on 802.1x wireless technology from smartphones to their 3G/4G core network. The position will serve as an engineering interface to the mobile operators in support of the design and implementation of mobile operator’s WiFi roaming network projects and comprises the following responsibilities.

Leverage your background in, TCP/IP routing, MMS applications on mobile wireless handset, GSM networking, and other related technologies to deliver top quality support to our customers in these regions.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the sales team and development engineering team to provide solutions for customers' WiFi roaming technology requirements
- Investigate, design, plan, and implement physical and logical IP networks to support WiFi access into operator’s 3G/4G SGSN and GGSN
- Prepare documents to define and illustrate network design solution
- Work with the provisioning team to create Implementation Plan
- Perform testing for the solution in preparation for commercial launch
- 30-40% traveling is expected from this position
Required Experience:
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent technical field and 7-10 years job-related experience.
- Extensive experience in the design, test and evaluation of 3G/4G core network components, such as international roaming, HLR/VLR, SGSN/GGSN, GTP protocol, L2TP, etc.
- Working knowledge of WiFi standards (current and future), SMART phone infrastructure requirements for iPhone/Droid/Blackberry, SIM authentication methods, and commercial encryption schemes.
- Strong Background and support with protocols BGP, OSPF, HSRP, etc; transport options (i.e. L2/L3 MPLS, GRE Tunneling), Radius/AAA server.
- Familiarity with Network Security and router platforms.
- Excellent customer interface, oral communications, presentation, and technical writing skills are a must.
- Cisco knowledge with network design, operational support, hands-on implementation of routers, switches, Access points, and cabling in a large WAN /WLAN environment.
- Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, MPLS, IPSec VPN, ACLs, TCP/IP, IPX.
- Cisco certification of CCNA or CCDP is a must, CCIE, or CCNP a plus.

- Strong Customer interfacing background, as well as oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently and on multiple projects/activities concurrently. Disciplined and oriented in practice of and adherence to process and procedures.
