Aicent Text2Image (T2I) Overview

Aicent's patent pending T2I solves a major challenge to international messaging interworking and interoperability; Text messages written in local languages sent abroad often can not be displayed on handsets that do not support foreign language.

T2I provides the ability to send a message in one local language text to a recipient's handset that may be based upon a completely different language set and be able to display the message in the originator's language character set. T2I accomplishes this by converting text into an image format and sending it as an MMS message. Aicent's world-leading MMS interworking global footprint makes this service especially attractive to mobile operators.

T2I is a key part of Aicent's Integrated Messaging Solution and works with both SMS and MMS messages. T2I has been commercially available since November 2004 and is available to both Aicent SMS and MMS customers.

Aicent T2I Routing Decisions

T2I also offers flexible and intelligent routing choices based on pre-defined operator policy. Routing decisions can also be based upon message flow direction (MT/MO) and applied only on the predefined direction. T2I service can be implemented based on Char-sets encoding method and the destination country. And T2I can be applied to only those messages where certain char-sets are not supported.
